HONORARY GRAND MARSHAL
OF THE 47th ANNUAL LABOR DAY PARADE
TO BE HELD MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2004 AT 10 A.M.

John has been a member of the South
Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He
started his career as a Junior Firefighter from 1973-1976.
In 1976 he joined the ranks of Senior Firefighter and has served South
Plainfield continuously for 28 years. He rose through the fire
officers ranks serving as Lt, Captain, Deputy Chief and Chief from 1994 to 1997. He is
presently serving as Deputy Chief. John is a
life member of the Exempt Firefighters Association and currently serves as President. In 1982 he was a part time fire inspector for the
Borough of South Plainfield.

| John and his wife, Pam, have 2 sons, Michael
11 and John Jr. 15. John Jr. is following in
his fathers footsteps and has joined the Junior Firefighters, something his father
is very proud of.
John has been active with his sons in Boy Scouts where he assisted in
running many scouting activities.
He could also be found working with his dad and other members of his family
preparing food at the Sacred Heart fair and other church functions. He is presently
employed at Odd Jobs, South Plainfield as a maintenance and safety
supervisor.
John has contributed freely of his time to make
South Plainfield
a better place to live and we salute him.
