The Borough of South Plainfield is seeking volunteers to serve on the newly created Dismal Swamp Preservation Commission.  The Commission shall be responsible for the review and approve, reject or modify all applications for development within the Dismal Swamp and shall exercise any or all of the powers and duties of a municipal planning board and any or all of the powers and duties of a county planning board for the Dismal Swamp.  The Governing Body shall appoint two (2) borough residents to represent the Borough of South Plainfield on the Commission.  The appointment term is five (5) years.  Interested residents should submit their resume to Joann Graf,  Municipal Clerk of the Borough of South Plainfield, 2480 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 or via email at jgraf@southplainfieldnj.com.  All applicants must reply no later than January 18, 2010 for consideration.  For further information please call 908-226-7605
