7.   ORDINANCE – Final Adoption

     #1806 – An ordinance providing for the compensation of various Borough employees
and the method of compensation for years 2007 through 2011.

     #1807 – An ordinance establishing rates for the use of the South Plainfield Community Pool for the year 2008.

8.   ORDINANCE – Introduction

     #1808 – An ordinance authorizing the Borough of South Plainfield to accept a donation of real property identified as Block 451, Lot 3, from Edith Fantauzzo.

9. RESOLUTIONS

     #004 – Authorize the release of performance bond posted by Daniel and Christine Pasola for public improvements to Block 420, Lots 6 and 7 (Lexington Avenue).

     #018 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $25.59 to the owner of Block 137 Lot 7.02 (1147 South 10th Street) due to an overpayment of taxes.

     #019 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $909.89 to the owner of Block 528 Lot 50 (5251 Stelton Road) due to an overpayment of taxes.

     #020 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $1,311.29 to the owner of Block 177 Lot 5 (221 Merchants Avenue) due to an overpayment of taxes.

     #021 – Approve the waiver of all fees associated with the South Plainfield Lion’s Club Annual Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast which will be held on March 16, 2008.

     #022 - Authorize the renewal license for a Self-Service Laundromat for the year 2008 in accordance with Ch. 122 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield. The applicant have met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid.

     #023 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the Shared Services Agreement with the South Plainfield Board of Education for the provision of the position of Safe Schools Resource Officer.

     #024 – Authorize the renewal licenses for coin-operated amusement devices for the year 2008 in accordance with Ch. 70, Art. III of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield. The applicants have met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid.

     #025 – Accept the resignation from Thomas Crino from the South Plainfield Environmental Commission effective immediately.

     #026 – Authorize the Place-to-Place Transfer of Plenary Retail Consumption License No. 1222-33-012-009 issued to Ruby Tuesday, Inc. for premises located at 4701 Stelton Road effective February 11, 2008.

     #027 – Authorize a contract with RJR Engineering Company, Inc. to perform repairs to the South Plainfield Community pool at a cost not to exceed $17,400.00.

10. RESOLUTIONS – Executive Session

     Exec #1 - Authorize the entering into Executive Session in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Ch. 231 for the following items: Litigation – Carole Media v. Borough; Litigation – New Market Avenue Extension Condemnation; Contract – Spicer      Avenue Project; Contract - Professional Services; Contract – Information Technology        and Contract – PAL Janitorial Services.

11.  CORRESPONDENCE – Discussion Items (may require action)

1.      Application for Appointment to the Cultural Arts Commission from Beverly D. Krausse, who resides at 2012 Greenwich Street.

2.      Letter from Robert Russo, CME Associates, informing the Borough that the New Jersey Department of Transportation is requesting that the Borough amend Ordinance #1793 to include a revision date in Section 1 of said Ordinance.

3.      Memo from Police Chief John Ferraro to Councilman Anesh requesting that an ordinance be adopted by the Governing Body prohibiting parking on a portion of Hancock Street.

4.      Memo from Construction Official John Pabst requesting that Vincent J. Franchino be hired as a part-time Plumbing Sub Code Official effective February 25, 2008 replacing Angelo Strillacci who will be retiring effective February 29, 2008.

5.      Request from Jerry Ruben Pyenson to mayor Butrico discussing the Homeowners and Bank Protection Act of 2007.
