8.   ORDINANCE – Final Adoption

     #1811 – An ordinance amending the Borough’s Development Review Ordinance to establish requirements and criteria for the submission of a recycling plan in connection with land development applications.

     #1812 – An ordinance revising Chapter 151 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled:“Recycling”.

9. RESOLUTIONS

     #050 – Approve the appointment of Debra Anne Leporino as a member of the Public Celebrations Committee for a three year term expiring December 31, 2010.

     #051 – Approve the driving and parking restrictions, as recommended by the Police Department Traffic Safety Division, associated with the Feast of St. Anthony run by Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church from June 2-7, 2008.  

     #052 – Approve the appointment of Joann Graf as Acting Municipal Clerk for   a period
of not more than 60 days commencing on March 6, 2008.

     #053 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the Bicycle/Pedestrian Program Grant Agreement with Middlesex County which is facilitate the receipt of the $80,000.00 Grant to be utilized for pedestrian safety.

     #054 - Approve the waiver of the Fire Permit Fee for the South Plainfield Middle School Annual Music Festival that will be held on March 27, 2008 at the South Plainfield High        School Auditorium.

     #055 – Authorize the donation of wedding fees, in the amount of $4,950.00, collected by Mayor Butrico to various charitable organizations.

     #056 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the 2008 Alliance Contract between the Borough of South Plainfield and the County of Middlesex to facilitate the receipt of the $22,177.00 grant to be utilized for alcohol and drug abuse prevention and education.

     #057 – Authorize the extension of the Professional Services Contract with CME Associates for the Borough’s professional engineering services to May 4, 2008 in order to complete and close-out projects.

      #058 – Approve the renewal of a limousine license to Roseway Limousine Co for the year 2008.

     #059 – Approve the appointment of a new Municipal Court Judge, effective March 19, 2008, in the event that the Honorable John A. Jorgensen is promoted to the NJ Superior Court.

      #060 – Authorize a Referendum Question, seeking voter sentiment on the Borough’s funding for the construction of a new library building; to be held the week of May 5 – 10, 2008,  as part of Democracy Week.

      #061 – Approve a Right-of-Way for Block 193, Lot 11, pursuant to approval from the Board of Adjustment on January 24, 2008 to Application # 43-07.
