8.      ORDINANCES – Introduction

#1794A entitled:  an ordinance amending ordinance 1794 establishing the regulations of the operation of traffic control devices in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as revised January 16, 2008

# 1817 entitled: an ordinance amending ordinance no.1748,  thereby amending the weight restriction on Hamilton Boulevard within the Borough of South Plainfield.

 

# 1818  entitled:  an ordinance repealing ordinance no. 1749, thereby repealing and eliminating the weight restriction on Belmont Avenue within the Borough of South Plainfield.

 

# 1819 entitled: an ordinance establishing traffic regulations prohibiting “engine-braking” throughout the Borough of South Plainfield

#1820 entitled:  an ordinance amending ordinance 1461 entitled: “an
       ordinance to amend Chapter 187 of the Code of the Borough of South

       Plainfield” thereby revising the fines related to violations of off street parking
       regulations

9.      RESOLUTIONS

      #08-122:   Authorize the release of a Performance Bond for Block 416, Lot 2

                  (1908 Hamilton Blvd)

      #08-123:   Authorize the release of a Performance Bond for Block 268, Lot 8

                 (203 Randolph Ave)

      #08-124:   Authorize the release of a performance bond for Block 136, Lot 26

                   (1214 & 1216 So. 11th Street)             

      #08-125:   Approve the block party request from Gary Bodyl for May 18, 2008      

                 from Noon to 9:00pm on Spicer Avenue between Green Street and the

                 dead end.

       #08-126:   Approve request from the NJ State Elks Association to waive local

                  fees for planned fireworks display at their Carnival in Veteran’s Park,

                  May 24, 2008.

        #08-127:    Amend Resolution 08-081 for the purpose of correcting the street

                  name from Trista Way to “Trista’s Way”

        #08-128:    Approve a Ch. 159 Budget Amendment to include a $28,132.55 grant

                  from the NJ DEP for the 2008 Clean Communities Grant

        #08-129:   Appoint Dawn DaPonte to the position of Deputy Court Administrator,

                 effective May 13, 2008 at an annual salary of $40,000.00

        #08-130:    Authorize the Borough Appraiser to perform market analysis of Block

                 263, Lot 3 (114 Lakeview Ave)

        #08-131:    Authorization  to waive the Fire Permit fees, in the amount of $42.00,

                  associated with the South Plainfield Recreation Department’s

                  Comedy Night which was held at So Plainfield PAL on May 3, 2008.

         #08-132:    Add a vehicle to the 2008 limousine license for Amanie Limousine

         #08-133:    Grant encroachment of drainage easement, Block 254.04, Lot 4

       (15 Babes Drive)

         #08-134:    Authorize purchase of one (1) 2008 Dodge Charger Police Vehicle as

                 specified in State contract # A67129 from available funds allocated in

                 budget account 7-01-25-240-001-301

         #08-135:    Authorize Maintenance Agreement with NICE CRS Solutions for

                  communications equipment and software in Dispatch Center

         #08-136:    Authorize the hiring of seasonal employees for the Recreation

                 Department for the period of May 15 to September 2, 2008 as per the

                 attached list at salaries commensurate with the current salary ordinance.

         #08-137:  Authorization to allow the continued maintenance of an existing

                 shed in the rear of the residential property Block 222, Lot 46

                 (Evergreen Lane) which is located on a municipal storm water

                 easement

         #08-138:    Authorize appropriation transfers in the amount of $200,000 for the

                 Current Fund in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:4-58

         #08-139:    Authorize a Statement of Support calling for the continued full service

                  operation of Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center

         #08-140:    Authorize the Municipal Clerk to issue 2007-2008 liquor licenses to          

                  licensees that have met all State and Borough requirements and have

                  paid all appropriate fees.

         #08-141:    Authorization to allow the continued maintenance of an existing

                 shed in the rear of the residential property Block 222, Lot 46

                 (222 Woolworth Ave) which is located on  municipal drainage easement

         #08-142:    Authorize purchase of 4 Xplore Dual Mode Rugged 1X104 laptops for

                 Fire Prevention from Triangle Communications, LLC, State Contract

                 # A53763, for a total cost of $19,410.00.  Purchase is from Fire Trust

                 Account # T13-56-860-014-801.

          #08-143:   Fill the vacancy on the Truck Bypass Ad Hoc Committee

          #08-HCDBG2 -  Authorize a re-allocation of $5000 of HCDBG funds from the

                          Director of Office on Aging salary to construction of ADA

                          accessible sidewalks
