#1794A entitled:  an ordinance amending ordinance 1794 establishing the regulations of the operation of traffic control devices in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as revised January 16, 2008

# 1817 entitled: an ordinance amending ordinance no.1748,  thereby amending the weight restriction on Hamilton Boulevard within the Borough of South Plainfield.

# 1818  entitled:  an ordinance repealing ordinance no. 1749, thereby repealing and eliminating the weight restriction on Belmont Avenue within the Borough of South Plainfield.

# 1819 entitled: an ordinance establishing traffic regulations prohibiting “engine-braking” throughout the Borough of South Plainfield

 8.    ORDINANCES - Introduction

#1820 entitled:  an ordinance amending ordinance 1461 entitled: “an ordinance to amend Chapter 187 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield” thereby revising the fines related to violations for off street parking regulations

9. RESOLUTIONS

#08-143:    Appoint ________ to fill the vacancy on the Ad Hoc Truck Bypass Committee     

#08-148:   Authorize the hiring of Janine Calvey to the position of Clerk in the Municipal
Court, effective June 2, 2008 at a salary commensurate with the current salary ordinance.

#08-149:   Approve the block party request from Annette Nicolay for July 4, 2008     

                from Noon to 10:00pm on Smith Street from Jackson Ave to Spruce Street.

#08-150:    Authorize purchase of Video Recording Equipment for new police vehicle from
               L3 Communications for $5,320.00 from Account 8-01-25-240-001-301.

#08-151:    Authorize the Borough Engineer, T & M Associates to conduct a traffic count for                 Hamilton Blvd and New Market Ave.

#08-152:   Authorize the Borough Engineer, T & M Associates to prepare and the Mayor
                and Municipal Clerk to execute the grant application for the FY2008
                NJ Department of Transportation Trust Fund Grant for improvements to
                New Market Avenue.

#08-153:   Authorize the issuance of a Facility Use Permit to the NJ State Elks for their
                use of Veterans Park, May 21 – May 25, 2008 for their Family Carnival event.  

#08-154:  Approve the Memorandum of Agreement between the Borough of
               South Plainfield and PBA Local # 100.  

#08-155   Authorize Triangle Communication to display a patrol car at a trade show in                Atlantic City on  June 24^th, and June 25^th.  

#08-156   Authorize T&M Associates to perform engineering services associated with
               design and bid for improvements to Linden Avenue.

#08-157   Authorize T&M Associates to perform engineering services associated with the                  implementation of a Curb Restoration Program, to include the streets
               of Nunnink Lane, Bleecker Street, and Houston Street.

#08-158:    Authorize appropriation transfers in the amount of $200,000 for the Current                   Fund in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:4-58

#08-159:    Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to execute NJ DOT documents for final                   disbursement of funds for South Plainfield Ave Phase I project.
