Resolution #10-181:   Approve the promotions of Lieutenant James Parker to Captain

                        and Sergeant Philip Aqualina to Lieutenant, effective July 1, 2010 at

        salaries commensurate with the Borough’s Salary Ordinance.

6.   Approval of the Minutes of June 16, 2010 Public meeting

9. ORDINANCES – Public Hearing and Final Adoption

#1896 entitled: An ordinance appropriating $73,000 for the acquisition and installation of

                  radio and related communication equipment for the South Plainfield

                  Fire Dept. located within the Borough of South Plainfield, County of

                  Middlesex, State of New Jersey

10.  RESOLUTIONS

#10-170          Authorize the Borough Tax Collector to prepare and mail estimated 3rd

                  quarter tax Bills pursuant to NJSA 54:4-66.3.

#10-171          Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue a refund check in the

                  amount of $2,437.03 for an overpayment of taxes on Block 437; Lot 4,

                  to Elisabeth Garguilo 226 Christopher Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ  07080

#10-172          Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue a refund check in the amount of

 

                  $1,180.48 for an overpayment of taxes on Block 151, Lot 7, to Lisa M. Heim,

 

  602 Franklin Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 
                                      

#10-173          Authorize promotion within the Department of Public Works: Richard

                  Ritchey and Richard Zekas to Supervisor of Public Works; and Leo Appolloni

                  to Heavy Equipment Operator at salaries commensurate with the

                  current Salary Ordinance.

#10-174          Authorize the hiring of Katie Stilo as a seasonal employee at the South

                  Plainfield Community Pool Utility from  July 1 to September 6, 2010,

                  in a Concession II position at an hourly rate of $8.57 excluding benefits.

#10-175          Authorize the hiring of Margaret Diller as a temporary van driver for the

                  senior center for the period of June 28, 2010 through July 1, 2010 at

                  an hourly rate of $11.65 excluding benefits.

#10-176          Waive building and plumbing permit fees for the Board of Education’s

                  bathroom remodeling project, including asbestos removal and disposal

  at South Plainfield Middle School, Kennedy, Franklin, Grant and Riley

  Elementary Schools

#10-177          Waiver applicable fees (excluding Electrical fees) for the Board of

                  Education’s fire alarm replacement project at the South Plainfield

                  Middle School.

#10-178         Authorize the Municipal Clerk to issue 2010-2011 liquor licenses to Steak &

                 Ale of New Jersey, Inc., having met all State and Borough requirements

                 and paid all appropriate fees.

#10-179         Grant a liquor license renewal to Madhusudan LLC, License

                #1222-33-016-007, d/b/a Palace of Jaipur for the 2008-2009 license year,

                in accordance with N.J.S.A. 33:1-12.18 

#10-180         Accept the resignation of Police Officer Joseph Indano, effective

                July 6, 2010.

11. RESOLUTIONS – Executive Session

     Exec #0628- Authorize the entering into Executive Session in accordance with the

                Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Ch. 231 for the following item:  

1.      Personnel – Affordable Housing

2.      Personnel – LOSAP.
