7. ORDINANCES – Introduction

     #1716 – A capital ordinance appropriating $25,000.00 for the acquisition of capital improvements,

                        more specifically for renovations to the storm sewer and manhole capital improvements.

     #1717 – Amend Ch. 67 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled: “Alcoholic

                        Beverages”.

     #1718 – An ordinance amending the fees for membership to the South Plainfield Community Pool

                        for the year 2006.

8. RESOLUTIONS

     #001 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $3,780.00 due

                        to a successful tax appeal.

     #002 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $10,932.25.

     #003 – Authorize the Municipal Clerk to enter into a maintenance agreement with Munidex for the

                        period January 1 through December 31, 2006.

     #004 – Authorize a Capital Budget Amendment in the amount of $25,000.00 for the improvements

                        to various storm sewer and manholes throughout the Borough.

     #005 – Authorize a contract with Steven D. Altman, esq. to represent a borough police officer in a

                        matter of litigation at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00.

     #006 – Authorize a maintenance agreement with Class Software Solutions to provide service for the

                        PAL computer system for the period January 1 through December 31, 2006 at a cost not

                        to exceed $3,347.00.

     #007 – Accept the Notice of Intent to retire from Recreation Director Michael English effective July

                        31, 2006.

     #008 – Authorize the refund of a registration fee in the amount of $35.00 paid by Corrine Holloman

                        whose grandson was unable to participate in the recreation basketball program.

     #009 – Issue an On-Premise 50/50 raffle license to the South Plainfield Historical Society for

                        February 12, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon in accordance with all Borough and

                        Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission regulations. All State and Borough fees

                        have been paid.

     #010 – Authorize the refund of a building permit fee in the amount of $63.00 paid by Nico Home

                        Improvements for the interior demolition of the property located at 2323 Park Avenue.

     #011 – Authorize the waiver of all permit fees (except electrical) associated with the building  

                        expansion of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Antiochian Orthodox Church.

     #012 – Accept the resignation of Police Records Clerk Bridget Nelson effective February 7, 2006.

     #013 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the Middlesex County Open Space

                        Recreation Grant Agreement which the Borough received $250,000 for the purchase of

                        Block 250 Lot 5.

     #014 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the amended Hamilton Boulevard Phase

                        Agreement with Middlesex County to incorporate the installation of decorative lighting

                        along the roadway.

     #015 – Appoint Kevin Hughes Acting Recreation Director effective January 1, 2006.
