8. ORDINANCES – Introduction

     #1726 – An ordinance supplementing the Zoning Ordinance of the Borough of South Plainfield,

                        1992, to provide regulations of maintenance of affordable housing units.

     #1727 – An ordinance to foster openness of government and provide citizens with information

concerning various appointed volunteer municipal positions which exist within the Borough of South Plainfield.

     #1728 – An ordinance regulating political contributions in the Borough of South Plainfield.

     #1729 – An ordinance appropriating $360,000 for various capital improvements within the

                        Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey

9. RESOLUTIONS

     #050 – Authorize the release of performance bond posted by Enrico Pigna for public improvements

                        to Block 36, Lots 5.01 and 5.02 (116 Firth Street).

     #073 – Authorize the release of performance bond posted by RM Realty Associates for public

                        improvements to Block 452, Lot 3 (1440 Union Street).

     #074 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $1,398.55

                        to the owners of Block 149, Lot 17 (Mr. & Mrs. C. Hagg).

     #075 – Approve Ch. 159 Budget Amendment to include $500.00 Grant from ChoicePoint to be

                        utilized for computer upgrades.

     #076 – Approve a block party request from Bette Schiavi for September 2, 2006 (no raindate) on

                        Morton Avenue between Poe Place and Dumas Avenue.

     #077 – Issue an Wheels and Games raffle license to Our Lady of Czestochowa for the Feast of St.

for June 6 through June 10, 2006 from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight in accordance with all Borough and Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission regulations. All State fees have been paid and all Borough fees have been waived.

     #078 – Issue an Off-Premise 50/50 raffle license to South Plainfield Volunteer Rescue Squad for

September 4, 2006 at 10:00 p.m. in accordance with all Borough and Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission regulations. All State fees have been paid and all Borough fees have been waived.

     #079 – Issue an On-Premise Merchandise raffle license to Grant Elementary School PTO for

June 2, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in accordance with all Borough and Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission regulations. All State and Borough fees have been paid.

     #080 – Accept the Notice of Intent to Retire from Police Captain Michael Grennier effective October

                        13, 2006.

     #081 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to re-execute the Interlocal Agreement with the

                        Middlesex County Health Department for the year 2006 which will result in a savings of

                        $10,000 to the Borough.

     #082 – Authorize the waiver of all fees, except electrical, for the installation of a kiln at Roosevelt

                        Elementary School.

     #083 – Authorize the entering into Executive Session for items approved by the Open Public

                        Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Ch. 231.

     #084 – Authorize a Capital Budget Amendment in the amount of $360,000.00 for the purchase of

                        computer equipment.

     #085 – Approve the upgrade of the Computer Aided Dispatch Server at a cost not to exceed

$17,511.35. These funds were acquired through a 2005 9-1-1 Grant.

     #086 – Approve a contract with RJN Engineering to install new diving boards and concrete at

                        the Community Pool at a cost not to exceed $34,200.00.
