7. ORDINANCES – Public Hearing and Final Adoption

      #1737 – An ordinance providing for the sale of municipal land known as Block 399, portion of Lot 6

                        (Kosciusko Avenue) to Guy Moretti in the amount of $90,000.00.

     #1738 – An ordinance providing for the sale of municipal land known as Block 362, Lot 6.03 

(Spicer Avenue) to Fourth MPPL Realty Co. in the amount of $90,000.00.

     #1739 – An ordinance providing for the sale of municipal land known as Block 341, Lot 1.02 

(west side of Kosciusko Avenue) to Bryan and Yolanda Scipio in the amount of

$80,000.00.

     #1740 – An ordinance providing for the exchange of municipal land with Michael, Tony and

Tomasso Grasso by where the Borough will receive Block 346 Lot 5 in exchange for Block 352 Lot 1. The Borough will also receive the amount of $25,000.00.

     #1741 – An ordinance amending Chapter 143 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield

                        entitled: “Peace and Good Order” increasing the penalties for violation in accordance

                        with New Jersey State Law.

     #1742 – A bond ordinance providing for the acquisition of real property as well as improvements

thereon appropriating $1,680,000 therefor and authorizing the issuance of $1,600,000 bonds or notes to finance cost thereof.

8. ORDINANCES – Introduction

     #1743 – An ordinance making provisions for Subtitle One of Title 39 with various traffic regulations

applicable to the South Plainfield Senior Citizen Housing Complex.

     #1744 – An ordinance amending Ch. 26 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled:

“Fire Department”.

9. RESOLUTIONS

     #160 – Authorize the release of performance bond posted by Strong Tower Development for public

                        improvements to Block 170 Lots 36 and 37 (Lyndsey Court).

     #183 – Authorize the release of performance bond posted by Harris Realty Company, LLC for public

                        improvements to Block 286 Lot 1 (1641 New Market Avenue).

     #184 – Authorize the issuance of a license for coin-operated amusement devices for the year 2006 in

accordance with Ch. 70, Art III of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield. The applicant has met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid.

     #185 – Issue an On-Premise 50/50 Raffle license to the South Plainfield Summer Drama Workshop

for the period August 3 through August 6, 2006 in accordance with all Borough and Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission regulations. All State fees have been paid and all Borough fees have been waived.

     #186 – Approve a block party request from Lori Battison for August 12, 2006 (August 13 raindate)

on East Elmwood Drive between Park Avenue and Clark Avenue.

     #187 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the Agreement to allow the owner of

Block 430 Lot 8.01 to construct an 8 x 10 foot storage shed along a 15 foot drainage easement.

     #188 –Authorize the termination of employment of William Terry as a lifeguard at the Community

Pool effective immediately.

     #189 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute and PMK Group to process the

application for the NJDOT Grant for the New Market Avenue Road Extension Project.

     #190 - Authorize the termination of the employment contract with Santo Triolo as the Borough’s C3

Sanitary Sewer Operator effective July 31, 2006.

     #191 – Appoint Joseph Kotowski as the Borough’s C3 Sanitary Sewer Operator effective August 1,

2006.

     #192 - Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $1,071.70 to

                        the owner of Block 406.03, Lot 12 (154 Zwolak Court) due to an overpayment of taxes.

     #193 – Authorize the hiring of Robert Tumulo as a temporary part-time plumbing inspector at a rate

of $28.00 per hour for the period August 28 through September 1, 2006. Mr. Tumulo will be filling in for the Borough’s plumbing inspector who will be on vacation.

     #194 – Authorize the hiring of Zachary Olim as a part-time groundskeeper at the Recycling Center

effective July 8, 2006 at a rate of $9.76 per hour.

     #195 – Authorize the hiring of Kiley Jackson as a Safety Town Instructor at a rate of $1,200.00 per

year. This hiring is necessitated by the fact that the previous instructor has moved out of the Borough.

     #196 – Authorize a “Professional Services” contract with the Borough’s Environmental Engineer,

PMK Group, to perform quarterly groundwater monitoring tests as required by the NJDEP at a cost not to exceed $28,763.10 for the period July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.

     #197 – Authorize the waiver of all fees, except electrical, associated with the construction of a new

clubhouse at Jost Field.

     #198 – Authorize the Municipal Clerk to advertise for bid for Third Party Electrical Inspection

Services for the Borough of South Plainfield.

     #199 – Authorize a the hiring of Kevin Hughes as Recreation Director effective August 1, 2006 at a

salary commensurate with the Borough’s current salary ordinance.

     #200 – Authorize the vacation of the construction easement agreement between Alfred and Louise

Mingione and Michael and June Cardiello and authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk

to execute said vacation agreement.
