8. ORDINANCES – Adoption

      #1766 – An ordinance establishing the requirements for the proper disposal of
pet solid waste for the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, as required
by the NJDEP.

     #1767 – An ordinance prohibiting the spilling, dumping or disposal of materials other than stormwater into the storm sewer system in the Borough of South Plainfield,
County of Middlesex, as required by the NJDEP.

     #1768 – An ordinance prohibiting the feeding of unconfined wildlife in any public
park or any other property owned or operated by the Borough of South Plainfield,
County
of Middlesex
, as required by the NJDEP.

     #1769 – An ordinance prohibiting illicit connections to the municipal storm sewer system operated by the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, as required by the NJDEP.

     #1770 – An ordinance providing for the establishment of certain no parking zones
in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex.

     #1771 – An ordinance creating the position of Community Service Worker – Aging
and providing said compensation range for the position for the year 2007. Funds for
said position have been acquired from a Grant from the Benjamin Foundation.

     #1772 – A capital ordinance appropriating $55,000.00 for various capital purchases within the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex.

     #1773 – A capital ordinance appropriating $40,000.00 from the Sewer Utility Capital Improvement Fund for the purchase of a truck for the Public Works Sewer Division.

     #1774 – An ordinance establishing the regulation for operation of traffic control
devices in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex.

     #1775 – An ordinance requiring financial disclosure for all candidates for Borough Council.

9. ORDINANCES – Introduction

     #1776 – An ordinance restricting parking on portions of Hamilton Boulevard in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, state of New Jersey, as recommended
by the Traffic Safety Division of the Police Department.

     #1777 – An ordinance providing for the compensation of various Borough employees
and the method of payment of said compensation for the years 2006 through 2010 

10. RESOLUTIONS

     #035 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $7,150.29 to Helen P.W., LLC who has received a favorable judgment on a tax appeal for Block 389, Lot 13 (155-157 Helen Street).

     #036 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $4,551.11.

     #037 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $7,102.88 to Kennedy Montrose who has received a favorable judgment on a tax appeal
for Block 420, Lot 25 (3605-3605A Kennedy Road).

     #038 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $8,620.00 to 1907 Park Avenue Medical Associates who has received a favorable judgment on a tax appeal for Block 64, Lot 1 (1907 Park Avenue).

     #039 – Endorse Assembly Bill A3622, as sponsored by Assemblyman Joseph Vas,
which would provide certain employment protections for those individuals who
enter the military.

     #040 – Authorize the Mayor and municipal Clerk to execute the Inter-local
Agreement with Middlesex County for the purchase of inter-operable communications equipment.

     #041 – Authorize a “Professional Services” contract with Insurance Buyers Council,
Inc. to handle all aspects of the Borough’s employee benefits for the period March 1 through December 31, 2007

     #042 – Authorize the hiring of Linda Fiore as a Community Service Worker – Elderly
in the Office on Aging Department at an annual salary of $24,936.00 effective March 1, 2007.

     #043 – Appoint Veronica Konya as a Probationary Firefighter for the South Plainfield Volunteer Firefighter.

     #044 - Authorize the entering into Executive Session for items approved by the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Ch. 231.

     #045 – Authorize a contract with Rileighs Outdoor décor for the purchase, installation, maintenance and storage of holiday fixtures which will be installed on the decorative lights along Hamilton Boulevard and the downtown area at a cost of $17,940.00.
