8. ORDINANCES – Adoption

     #1781 – An ordinance establishing the regulations of the operation of traffic control devices at various locations in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex,
State of New Jersey.

9. ORDINANCES – Introduction

     #1782 – An ordinance amending Article 19 of the Sanitary Code of the Borough of
South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey entitled “License Fees”.

     #1783 – An ordinance authorizing a special emergency appropriation according to N.J.S.A. 40A:4-53 to be utilized for the Codification of Borough Ordinances.  

10. RESOLUTIONS

     #070 – Authorize the release of performance bond posted by Nova Land Development, Inc. for public improvements to Block 60, Lot 27.01 (133 Redding Avenue).

     #071 – Authorize a contract with Lerch, Vinci & Higgins at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00 to review the School Board Budget should it be defeated by the voters on
April 17, 2007.

     #072 – Accept the resignation of Public Safety Telecommunicator Danielle Bonaventure effective March 23, 2007.

     #073 – Accept the resignation of Recreation Commission Secretary Donna Tierney effective March 31, 2007.

     #074 –Appoint Marie Smith as Recreation Commission Secretary effective April 1, 2007 at a rate of $750.00 per year.

     #075 – Authorize the fire permit fee in the amount of $42.00 associated with the “Meet the Candidates Night” which will be held on April 5, 2007 at the Administration Building.

     #076 – Approve the driving and parking restrictions, as recommended by the Police Department Traffic Safety Division, associated with the Feast of St. Anthony run by Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church from June 4-9, 2007.  

     #077 – Accept the resignation of Library Board of Trustee member Stephen Magura effective May 15, 2007.

     #078 – Approve the bock party request from Gary Bodyl for May 20, 2007 on Spicer Avenue between Green Street and the dead end.

     #079 – Authorize the submission of the Borough’s recycling Tonnage Grant application for 2006.

     #080 – Authorize the hiring of Jake Bayak and Ryan Egan as part-time Recycling Groundskeepers effective April 2, 2007 at a rate of $9.76 per hour.

     #081 – Authorize the hiring of Alexandra Santos as a part-time Public Safety Telecommunicator effective April 2, 2007 at a rate of $14.63 per hour.

     #082 – Authorize a “Professional Services” contract with Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt & Fader, LLC to represent the Borough in a legal matters dealing with the Hamilton
Boulevard Industrial Site.

     #083 – Authorize a contract with IRS Restorations for the removal of street sweeping debris at the Public Works facility at a rate of $47.00 per ton.

     #084 – Authorize the entering into Executive Session for items approved by the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Ch. 231.

     #085 – Approve the refund of the raffle license fee in the amount of $100.00 paid for by the South Plainfield Elks Lodge #2298 due to the cancellation of said raffle.

     #086 – Authorize the renewal license for a limousine company for the year 2007 in accordance with Ch. 124 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield. The applicants have met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid.

     #087 – Authorize the appointment of Michael Cupo, Michael McCue and John Coppola as Probationary Firefighters for the South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department.
