9. ORDINANCES – Final Adoption

     #1799 – An ordinance appropriating $193,000.00 for various capital improvements including the purchase of Fire Department turnout gear and for the demolition of Suburban Bus Company for the Borough of South Plainfield, Middlesex County, New Jersey.

     #1800 – An ordinance authorizing the acquisition of Block 256, Lot 1 in the Borough of South Plainfield, Middlesex County either through a negotiated transaction or through eminent domain proceedings.

10. ORDINANCES – Introduction

     #1801 – An ordinance amending Ordinance #1603 entitled: “An ordinance establishing a State Uniform Construction Code Enforcing Agency, etc.”, establishing a new fee schedule.

     #1802 – An ordinance amending Article 19 of the Sanitary Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled: “License Fees”, adjusting the fees for dog and cat licenses and certified copies of vital statistics.

     #1803 – A Bond Ordinance appropriating providing for various sewer improvements; appropriating $150,000.00 from the Sewer Utility and authorizing $140,000.00 bonds or notes thereof.

11. RESOLUTION  

     #207 – Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute the Inter-local Agreement with Middlesex County Public Health Department for the period January 1, 2008 through   December 31, 2008 at cost of $97, 067.00.

     #208 – Authorize the refund of a building permit fee, in the amount of $59.00, paid by Deegan Roofing Company on behalf of the owner of 1101 Maple Avenue who has decided     against performing the renovations.

     #209 – Authorize the hiring of James Silance as a part-time building inspector at a rate of $24.00 per hour effective October 16, 2007. Mr. Silance is replacing John Capp, who previously resigned.

     #210 – Authorize the hiring of Julian Krupit as a part-time groundskeeper at a rate of $9.87 per hour effective September 22, 2007.

     #211 – Encourage the voters of the State of New Jersey to support the Green Acres, Farmland, Blue Acres and Historic Preservation Bond Act of 2007 which will be on the ballot for the upcoming General Election.  

     #212 – Award a “Professional Services” contract to Lori A. Dvorak, of the firm Dvorak &   Associates, LLC, to represent the Borough in personnel matter at a rate of $135.00 per        hour, not to exceed $5,000.00.

     #213 – Authorize the Chief financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $1,875.00 (142 South Madison Drive).

     #214 – Authorize the temporary capital budget amendment to include the study of the sanitary sewer system being performed by the Plainfield Rea Regional Sewerage Authority.

     #215 – Authorize amendments to the FY2008 Temporary Budget – Total Appropriations Inside “CAPS” in the amount of $410,600.00; Total Appropriations Outside “CAP” in the      amount of $100,000.00; Total Sewer Utility in the amount $100,000.00 and Total Pool      Utility in the amount of $2,000.00.
