10.   ORDINANCE – Final Adoption

      #1629A – An ordinance amending Ordinance #1629 providing for the sale of municipal land commonly known as Block 276, Lot 5, which was incorrectly referenced as Block 279,    Lot 5 in the original ordinance.

11.   ORDINANCE – Introduction

     #1805 – An ordinance amending Chapter 157 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled: “Sewers”

12. RESOLUTIONS

     #270 – Authorize the renewal licenses for Motor Vehicle Sales/Exchange for the year 2008. The applicants have met all State and Borough requirements and all fees have been paid.

     #271 – Authorize the renewal licenses for Self-Service Laundromats for the year 2008 in accordance with Ch. 122 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield. The applicants have met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid.

     #272 – Authorize the renewal licenses for coin-operated amusement devices for the year 2008 in accordance with Ch. 70, Art. III of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield. The applicants have met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid.

     #273 – Accept the resignation of Police Officer Christopher Cochrane effective November 28, 2007.

     #274 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $4,390.00 to the owner of Block 467.03 Lot 1 (SP Fidelco I, LLC – 3474 South Clinton Avenue) who received a favorable judgment in State Tax Court.

     #275 – Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue refund check(s) in the amount of $1,551.52 to the owner of Block 196 Lot 8.01 (134 Maple Place) due to an overpayment of taxes.

     #276 – Authorize the Municipal Clerk to enter into a maintenance agreement with Munidex for the period January 1 through December 31, 2008.

     #277 – Authorize a refund of a building permit fee paid for by Somerville Aluminum for work being performed at the property located at Block 254.01, Lot 9 (2 Babes Drive).

     #278 – Approve the Place-to-Place transfer (extension of premises) of Plenary Retail Consumption license #1222-33-015-003 to South Plainfield Hotel, LLC effective January 1, 2008. All fees have been paid in accordance with State and Borough regulations.

     #279 – Authorize the hiring of Maureen Noll as Secretary to the Recreation Commission effective January 1, 2008 at a salary of $750.00 per year.

     #280 – Support Assembly Bill A-3148, sponsored by Assemblywoman McHose and Assemblyman Greenwald, and co-sponsored by Assemblyman Diegnan, which would give      parents/guardians the option of placing their multiple same-age children in either the       same or different classrooms.

     #281 – Approve the purchase of equipment and software upgrades for the Police Department’s mobile-vision system from L-3 Communications at a cost not to exceed $27,090.00.

     #282 – Authorize amendments to the FY2008 Temporary Budget – Total Appropriations Inside “CAPS” in the amount of $100,000.00 and Total Sewer Utility in the amount             $200,000.00.

     #283 – Authorize a contract with Stilo Excavating and Nu-Scape Property Maintenance to supplement the Borough’s snow removal services. The rates for these contractors will     vary depending on the type of equipment being used, but will range between $125.00 and   $135.00 per hour which will include both equipment and manpower.
