8.      ORDINANCES: Public Hearing and Final Adoption

#1842 entitled:  An Ordinance rescinding Ordinance No. 1839 which amended

                        Ordinance #1701 entitled: an Ordinance providing for the

                        compensation of officers and employees of the Borough of South

                        Plainfield and the method of payment of such compensation for the

                        years 2009 through 2011.

#1843 entitled:  An ordinance to reinstate Ordinance 1748 entitled: An Ordinance to

                        Prohibit Trucks Over Four (4) Tons from certain streets in the Borough of

                        South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey and providing  

                        for the placement of certain signage in reference thereto (Hamilton Blvd)

#1844 entitled:  An ordinance to reinstate Ordinance 1749 entitled: An Ordinance to

                        ProhibitTrucks Over Four (4) Tons from certain streets in the

                        Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey

                         and providing for the placement of certain signage in

                         reference thereto (Belmont Ave)

9.   RESOLUTIONS

09- 004     Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue credits to Anthony Pauls & Lisa Blank, owners of Block 60, Lot 27.01, also known as 133 Redding Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, for a tax appeal judgement for tax years 2007 and 2008.

09-005      Authorize the renewal of licenses for the operation of towing /  wrecking establishments in the Borough of South Plainfield, in accordance with Ch. 184 of   the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield,   said licensees to operate on the rotation wrecker list for the year 2009.  The applicant have met all Borough requirements and all appropriate fees have been paid             

09-006       Re-Appoint Captain Paul Brembt as the Liaison to the Domestic Violence Response Team, effective immediately. This appointment is made without any monetary consideration.

09-007      Authorize the Borough Tax Assessor to establish allocation between land and improvements and the Borough Tax Attorney, Martin Allen to execute the Stipulation of Settlements for Safety Kleen Corp., Skyline Drive,
South Plainfield, NJ, also known as Block 446, Lot 1.031, for tax years
2007 and 2008.

09-008       Re-Appoint Captain Paul Brembt as the Boroughs 911 Coordinator for 2009.

09-009      Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute a Professional Services                  Agreement with Richard Lorentzen, CTC, as Financial Consultant to the Tax                  Collector effective immediately, with a termination date of June 30, 2009
                at the current rate of compensation.

09-010      Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute a Professional Services                  Agreement with Kerry Brown, as Zoning and Planning Consultant to the
                Zoning Department, effective immediately, with a termination date of April 30,                  2009, at the current rate of compensation.                                                                                                                                

09-011       Approve preliminary Municipal Tax levy for the calendar year 2009

09-012       Approve a Grace Period for 2009 Tax payments – first half

09-013      Authorize the appointment of Kimberly Clifford to the position of Tax Collector

                effective January 21, 2009 at an annual salary of $63,000.00

09-014       Authorize the appointment of Mary Beth Khidre to the position of Zoning Officer

effective January 21, 2009 at an annual salary of $53,000.00
