8.      ORDINANCES:  

#1845  entitled:   An Ordinance Establishing a Community Development Citizens’ Advis       Committee in the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex
State of New Jersey  

9.   RESOLUTIONS

 09-017      Authorize a Professional Service Contract between the Borough of South Plainfield and Martin Allen, Esq. and the law firm of  DiFrancesco, Bateman, Coley, Yospin, Kunzman, Davis & Lehrer, P.C.,  for the period of January 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009.

09-018       Appoint Borough Zoning Officer Mary Beth Khidre as a member of the Business  Advisory Group for a one (1) year term expiring on December 31, 2009.

09-019        Authorize Remington, Vernick and Vena Engineering to make application to the                  NJ DEP for a grant from the Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fun (HDSRF)                    for the remediation of the Suburban Bus Company site, at a cost not to exceed                    $2500.00.

09-020       Authorize an effective date of January 1, 2009 for the salary of the new Tax Collector, Kimberly Clifford

09-021        Re-affirm a request to the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and                   the Middlesex County Open Space Advisory Committee to dedicate funds from                   the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund for the purchase of Block 354,
                Lot 13 on Belmont Ave  

09-022     Re-affirm a request to the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and                   the Middlesex County Open Space Advisory Committee to dedicate funds from                   the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund for the purchase of Block 263, Lot                   also known as 114 Lakeview Avenue  

09-023       Authorize the Borough Engineer, CME Associates, to perform survey, design,
                and permit application services and also administer the bid process for the                   construction of Supplemental Safety Measures (SSM) at the three
                borough rail crossings, at a cost not to exceed $23,702.00

09-024      Authorize amendments to the FY2009 Temporary Budget for Total
Appropriations in the Current Fund in the amount of $530,000.00 

10. RESOLUTIONS – Executive Session
