5.      ORDINANCES:  Public Hearing and Final Adoption

#1846 entitled:    An ordinance amending Ordinance 1746 entitled, An Ordinance
          amending Chapter 48 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled:
          “Police Department” 

6.  ORDINANCES:   Introduction

#1847 entitled:  A Refunding Bond Ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds, not to             exceed $325,000 aggregate principal amount of Refunding Bonds.
          Series 2009, for the purpose of paying amounts owing to a taxpayer
          for taxes levied in the Borough.

#1848 entitled:  An Ordinance to rescind Ordinance No. 1003 entitled:
         “An Ordinance for Adoption of a Tax Exempt and Abatement
          program for Improvement to Residential Buildings”

#1849 entitled: An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 22 of the Code of the
          Borough of South Plainfield providing for an updating of the
          Drug-Free School Zones within the Borough of South Plainfield

#1850 entitled: An Ordinance designating certain intersections as stop
          intersections and providing for a stop sign at these intersections.

#1851 entitled: An Ordinance Amending Chapter 230 of the Code of the Borough
          of South Plainfield entitled “Fire Prevention”

7.  RESOLUTIONS

09-036  Authorize the release of a Performance Bond posted by Mobil Storage
Group for public improvements to property known as Block 286,
Lot 1 (Roosevelt Ave)  

09-037   Authorize application to the Local Finance Board, in the Division of Local       
           Government Services, Department of Community Affairs seeking
           approval for a refunding Bond Ordinance  (Ord # 1847 )              

09-038 Waive the applicable fees (excluding electrical fee) for the
                2009 Feast of Saint  Anthony at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church,
                June 2 – 7, 2009

09-039  Authorize Stilo Excavating to complete the punch list items on the
                South Plainfield
Ave / Tompkins Ave projects per DOT directive,
                at a cost not to exceed $3,300.00.

09-040  Authorize CME to proceed with final payment on the Durham Avenue
                project and for CME Associates to proceed with the closeout.

09-041  Re-Appoint Joann Graf to the position of Acting Municipal Clerk, effective
                March 5, 2009 for a second one year term

09-042    Appoint Mario Abbruzzese to the position of Code Enforcement Officer effective
                 March 3, 2009 at a salary of $64,979.00..

09-043    Authorize amendments to the FY2009 Temporary Budget for Total
Appropriations in the Current Fund in the amount of $1,500,000.00 

09-044     Authorize a request to the Middlesex County Board of Chosen
                 Freeholders and the Middlesex County Open Space Advisory Committee to
                 dedicate funds from the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund for
                 the purchase of
Block 316, Lot 13 ( Rio Street)

09-045     Authorize a request to the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders
                 and the Middlesex County Open Space Advisory Committee to
                 dedicate funds from the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund for the
                 purchase of
Block 315, Lots 31 and 33.

09-046     Authorize the engineering firm of Remington and Vernick to prepare a grant                   application for a Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund grant
                from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and
                the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to assist in the
                remediation of the former Suburban Transit site located at,
                601 New Market Avenue

09- 047    Affirm the Governing Body’s intent and commitment to redevelop for conservation

                purposes the property known as Block 315, Lots 34, 42 and 43 and
                Block 316, Lot 1, also referred to as the former Suburban Transit Property
                site, located at 601 New Market Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ

09-048     Authorize a request to the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and
                 the Middlesex County Open Space Advisory Committee to dedicate
                 funds from the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund for the purchase
                 of
Block311, Lots 15.01 and 15.02  ( 455 Highland Ave)
