8.      ORDINANCES:  Public Hearing and Final Adoption

#1847 entitled:  A Refunding Bond Ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds, not to exceed $325,000 aggregate principal amount of Refunding Bonds. Series 2009, for the purpose of paying amounts owing to a taxpayer for taxes levied in the Borough.

#1848 entitled:  An Ordinance to rescind Ordinance No. 1003 entitled: “An Ordinance for Adoption of a Tax Exempt and Abatement program for Improvement to Residential Buildings”

#1849 entitled:  An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 22 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield providing for an updating of the Drug-Free School Zones within the Borough of South Plainfield

#1850 entitled:  An Ordinance designating certain intersections as stop intersections and providing for a stop sign at these intersections.

#1851 entitled:  An Ordinance Amending Chapter 230 of the Code of the Borough of South Plainfield entitled “Fire Prevention”

#1852 entitled:  An Ordinance authorizing the acquisition of capital equipment for the Fire Department, total ordinance amount not to exceed $155,000 and is being financed by the 2008 Federal FEMA Fire Department Grant.   

9.      ORDINANCES:  Introduction

#1853 entitled: An Ordinance reverting from the State Fiscal Year to a Calendar Fiscal Year.

#1854 entitled:  A Bond Ordinance providing for the repair of the South Plainfield Public Library roof and other improvements, appropriating $120,000 therefor and authorizing the issuance of $114,000 bonds or notes of the borough to finance part of the cost thereof.

10. RESOLUTIONS

09-051 Authorize the release Performance Bond posted by D & C Inc. for public improvements to Block 254, Lot 17  (Teeple Place )

09-052 Authorize the distribution of fees, generated by weddings performed by Mayor Butrico, to be donated to local charities designated by the Mayor.

09-053 Waive the Fire Permit fee of $42.00 for the South Plainfield School District, Music Department for the 2009 District Music & Art Festival to be held on March 26, 2009 at South Plainfield High School auditorium, beginning at 6:30pm.

09-054 Waive the Fire Permit fee of $42.00 for the South Plainfield Summer DramaWorkshop for a Magic Show which was held on March 8th, 2009 at South Plainfield Middle School auditorium, beginning at 1:30pm.

09-055 Waive the Fire Permit fee of $42.00 for the South Plainfield Lion’s Club for their annual Gourmet Breakfast to be held on April 5, 2009 at South Plainfield High School Cafeteria, from 6:00am2:00pm.

09-056 Authorize the submission of an application by the Borough of South Plainfield to
the NJ Board of Public Utilities, Office of Clean Energy to participate in the Local Government Energy Audit Program

09-057  Authorize CME Associates to perform engineering services associated with Municipal Sewer Service Area Boundaries request by the Middlesex County Planning Board
at a cost not to exceed $1,360.00.

09-058  Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue a check in the amount of $2500. to Nafe Construction Corp., 401 Jersey Ave, Suite K. New Brunswick, NJ  08901 as a refund for an unused sewer connection fee paid to the borough in June 2008

09-059  Appoint an Actuary to administer the reimbursement program for Medicare Part B, at a cost not to exceed $1,500.00

09-060  Renew professional service agreement with Vargo Rossi Web Design for another 12 month term as Web Masters at a rate of $600.00 per month.

09-061  Authorize the Borough Administrator to execute all necessary documents and agreements with the Middlesex County Housing and Community Development Department to obtain the 2009 Housing and Community Development Block Grant allocation.                                                                                                        

09-062  Authorize CME Associates to perform engineering services associated with the So. Plainfield Public Library building repairs, at a cost not to exceed $16,000.00.

09-063  Authorize a Temporary Capital Improvement Budget Amendment for SFY 2009 in the amount of $140,000 for the replacement of the library roof and othe repairs.

09-064       Approve commitment to NJBPU and the Clean Power Community Partners Program 

09-065  Renew Limousine license for Roseway Limousine Service, Inc. for 2009
