8.      ORDINANCES:  Introduction 

#1855 entitled:   An Ordinance of the Borough of South Plainfield adopting the Redevelopment Plan for Block 523, Lots 2.01, 3, 4 and 5 which has been designated a redevelopment area

#1856 entitled:    An Ordinance of the Borough of South Plainfield establishing standards for the collection, maintenance, and expenditure of development fees pursuant to the Council On Affordable Housing (COAH) regulations and in accordance P.L.2008, c.46, Sections 8 and 32-38

#1857 entitled: A Bond Ordinance amending bond ordinance number 1742 (which provides for the acquisition and payment of the purchase price of real property) heretofore finally adopted by the Borough of South Plainfield, in the County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey (the “Borough”) on July 11, 2006 to amend the description set forth therein and to decrease the useful life

9.  RESOLUTIONS:

09-102 Authorize the release Performance Bond posted by Jonathan Homes for public                   improvements to Block 363, Lots 3.10 &3.11  (Delmore Ave)

09-103 Authorize the release Performance Bond posted by 1000 Belmont Ave LLC  for public                   improvements to Block 362, Lot 1 (Belmont Ave)

09-104    Accept the resignation of Probationary Part Time 911 Telecommunications Operator     Philip Buono, effective April 9, 2009.

09-105    Authorize the hiring of seasonal employees for the Public Works Department for
the period May 4 through September 7, 2008 at salaries commensurate with the current salary ordinance.

09-106    Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue a refund check for a duplicate cat license fee of $14.00 to Odessa Lemley of 329 Rahway Avenue, South Plainfield

 

09-107    Approve a Block Party requested by Gary Bodyl for Saturday, June 20th from
Noon to 9:00pm on Spicer Ave from Green Street to the end of Spicer Ave.

09-108     Approve the list of eligible Firefighters for LOSAP credit for 2008, as submitted by the Fire Chief based on a review of activity and response records

09-109      Approve a Chapter 159 Budget Amendment  to include a $5,000 grant from the Middlesex County Dept. on Aging  Title IIIB Information and Assistance program

09-110  Approve a Chapter 159 Budget Amendment to include $6999.00 from the Middlesex                County Dept. on Aging for SHTP Senior Assisted Transportation Grant   
                for Senior Citizen Center Bus Driver’s salary

09-111  Approve a Chapter 159 Budget Amendment to include $6,975.00 for the Municipal         Alliance Grant

09-112  Approve a Chapter 159 Budget Amendment to include $20,731.50 from the State         Division of Criminal Justice for the Safe and Secure Grant program  

09-113    Approve a Chapter 159 Budget Amendment to include $25,100 from the Housing         Community Development Block Grant to be applied to the
         Senior Citizen Director’s salary

09-114  Approve a Chapter 159 Budget Amendment to include $168.00 from Middlesex                 County Cultural & Heritage Commission Grant  

09-115 Authorize Gladstone Design, Inc. to continue to perform Engineering services                   for the Hollywood Avenue Truck By-Pass project, at a cost not to exceed                  $22,500.

09-116    Authorize appropriation transfers in the amount of $200,000 for the Current Fund                   in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:4-58

09-117           Authorize Remington, Vernick and Vena Engineering to provide engineering     services on behalf of the Borough of South Plainfield for preliminary meetings  with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection  relative to the Hollywood Avenue Extension (truck by-pass route) at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00.

09-118             Approve an Amendment to the Inter-local agreement between the Borough of South Plainfield and the County of Middlesex for the New Durham Road / Corporate Blvd. Project

09-119              Waive the Fire Permit fee of $42.00 for the Grant Middle School PTSO-Stokes Committee’s Comedy Night event at the PAL Building on May 30th.
