8.       ORDINANCES:  Public Hearing and Final Adoption 

#1860 entitled: An Ordinance to re-designate the location of a bus stop on the southbound side of Plainfield Avenue from the corner of Wood Street to the corner of Tompkins  Avenue, in the Borough of South Plainfield, Middlesex County, New Jersey, 

9.      ORDINANCES:  Introduction

#1861 entitled: An Ordinance appropriating $35,000.00 for the implementation of an energy audit at eight municipal buildings throughout the borough, for the Borough of South Plainfield, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey

#1862 entitled: An Ordinance to amend Ordinance # 1734 entitled:  A Bond Ordinance providing for the construction of a new library and related design work and construction document preparation, by and in the borough of South Plainfield, in the County of MiddlesexState of New Jersey (the “Borough”); appropriating $450,000 therefore and authorizing the issuance of $425,000 bonds or notes of the borough to finance part of the cost thereof, to include the engineering and design for the Truck Bypass Route

#1863 entitled: A Bond Ordinance providing for funding for various improvements to New Market Avenue, appropriating $1,052,500  thereof and authorizing the issuance of  $1,000,000 bonds or notes of the Borough to finance part of the cost thereof

10.  RESOLUTIONS:

09-157         Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to cancel balances from 13 capital              
      ordinances totaling $99,488.40.  
      (re-introduced from original June 1st meeting)

09-159        Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to issue credits of $60.36 for 2007 and
      $51.35
for 2008 to Anthony Pauls & Lisa Blank, Block 60, Lot 27.01 also
      known as 133 Redding Avenue     

09-160    Appoint Carl Fleming to perform appraisals on three properties known as Block                528, Lots 50, 50.01 and 51 as part of the Stelton Road joint project with                Middlesex County.

09-161    Authorize the hiring of seasonal employees for the Recreation Dept.’s Summer        Parks Program for the period June 30 through August 1, 2010 at salaries
       commensurate with the current salary ordinance excluding benefits    

09-162     Approve the block party request from Celadawn Reid for July 18, 2009 from Noon                to 10:00pm on Dey Street from Trinity Street to the dead end of Dey Street.
               Rain date either July 19 or July 25.

09-163       Approve a block party requested by Richard Toczynski for July 4, 2009 from Noon      to 9:00pm on 914 / 915 Poe Place to the dead end of Poe Place                      

09-164       Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute an professional services       
     agreement with
Clough Harbour Associates for an Energy Audit of
     eight Borough Facilities, at a cost not to exceed $33,185.00.

09-165   Authorize the Mayor and Municipal Clerk to execute and CME Associates to               process the application for the NJDOT Grant for the New Market Avenue Project               a cost not to $2,500.00.

09-166   Authorize appropriation transfers in the amount of $120,000 for the SFY 2009               Current Fund in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:4-58

09-167       Waive applicable Borough fees for the South Plainfield High School Project     
     Graduation to be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at the Club at Ricochet.

09-168       Authorize the Chief Financial Officer to cancel Appropriation balances in
     SFY2009 totaling $129,000.00

09-169    Approve the Temporary Budget for FY2010 – Total General Appropriations
               in the amount of $7,077,387.26; Total Sewer Utility Appropriations in the
               amount of $1,697,250.00 and Total Pool Utility Appropriations in the amount
               of 78,000.00

09-170    Authorize a SFY 2009 Capital Budget Amendment to include funds for the
               Energy Audit and the New Market Avenue Extension project

09-171        Authorize Remington, Vernick and Vena Engineering to prepare and submit a
     “synopsis” submission for NJDEP review for the proposed Truck By-Pass
     Route
at a cost not to exceed $19,200.00.     

09-172   Approve a block party requested by Mary DeLair for July 4, 2009 from Noon to               9:00pm

09-173    A resolution confirming the details and award of the $325,000 General
              Obligation Refunding bonds, Series 2009 of the Borough of South Plainfield, in               the County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey and approving a Bond purchase               contract which provides for the sale of such bonds to Central Jersey Bank, N.A.
