Emergency Management Coordinator advises citizens that threat level has been returned to Yellow - Elevated.  (01/09/04)

South Plainfield Emergency Management Coordinator Michael Zushma wants the Residents and
Businesses to be aware that t
he United States Government today raised the national terror threat
level to orange, or "high." Administration officials said the decision to raise the level was made
because of intelligence "chatter" indicating the possibility of terror attacks in the U.S. and recent
attacks overseas. Officials say the intelligence does not mention specific targets. This would be a
good time to review your family preparedness planning. There are many links on this website to assist
you in planning for a disaster or emergency. Should any resident or business need more information,
they can contact my office at (908) 753-3775.
