The Operations Division is commanded by Captain Robert Barone. He is responsible for the following functions:

Patrol: Consists of four Platoons of Officers each having a Lieutenant, Sergeant and seven Officers. They provide 24-hour, seven day a week coverage. All Patrol Officers work 12-hour shifts with three days on and three days off.
Traffic Safety: Lt. Kevin Murtagh and two officers, review all Traffic Accidents, work with the Planning Board, Mayor and Council on Traffic concerns, conduct traffic analysis and perform directed traffic enforcement activities.  Traffic Safety works Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 4:00 PM  and their main number is (908) 226-7678.

If you need an officer to create a police report, contact the Police Department at (908) 755-0700 and press '0' when you hear the voice message. A Communications Operator will assist you.
