Notification of Right of Way Pesticide Application
BOROUGH OF SOUTH PLAINFIELD NOTIFICATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY PESTICIDE APPLICATION From April 21, 2025 to August 31, 2025 the Department of Public Works will be conducting its Right-of-Way maintenance program for control of weeds growing near guide rails and concrete medians, and sidewalks on main and connecting roads throughout the Borough. Roadside spraying will be conducted by Tony DelPaoli License # 56976B. The brand name of the pesticide used is Banish. The active ingredient in Banish is Ethylene Glycol. Please refer to www.southplainfieldnj.com for the Material Safety Data Sheet and listing of the areas applied. The applications will be made utilizing a 55 gallon power sprayer and a 4 gallon back pack type sprayer. For pesticide regulation information, pesticide complaints, and health referrals contact NJDEP Pesticide Control Program at 1-609-530-4070.
