South Plainfield Historical Society

The South Plainfield Historical Society, founded in 1977 as a non-profit 501c3, was established to preserve and disseminate the history of the Borough.

The History Center, located at 115 Sylvania Place, is the headquarters for the society and houses a large collection of photographs, books, memorabilia, antique clothing, maps, oral histories and other items associated with borough history. The Center is open the first Saturday of every month from 11am to 1pm.

Yearly membership dues are $10.00 single, $15.00 family. Life membership costs $100.00.
