Community Oriented Policing
The concepts behind community policing is that police officers and private citizens work together and in creative ways to help solve contemporary community problems related to crime, fear of crime, social and physical disorder and neighborhood decay.
Officers assigned to Community Policing work with the community to address their concerns. They provide various programs that require community input, and are assigned cases that can best be solved by using community policing methods.
